Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and who can see it.
10x10 Campus exists to carry a learner's educational record — safely, accurately, and for life. That mission only works if the people whose information we hold trust how we hold it. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and the rules we bind ourselves to.
1. Who we are
10x10 Campus is a school management platform operated by TENXTEN GROUP. Schools use it to manage student records, academic results, fee collection, attendance, and the other daily operations of running a school. Each school remains the owner and custodian of its own community's records; 10x10 Campus processes those records on the school's behalf.
2. What we collect
- Identity information — names, date of birth, and where applicable a national identification number, used solely to ensure one person holds exactly one identity on the platform and is never duplicated or confused with someone else.
- Academic records — enrolment, class placement, attendance, examination results, and report cards, entered and owned by the school.
- Financial records — fee schedules, invoices, and payments relating to the school's own fee collection.
- Account and security information — email address, hashed passwords (we can never see the original), and sign-in metadata (time, device, approximate location) used to protect accounts from unauthorised access.
3. Why we collect it
For one purpose: operating the school services the platform provides. A student's record follows them from their first enrolment to their final certificate — across schools, without paper files, and without starting over. We do not use personal records for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to anyone, ever.
4. Who can see what
- School staff see only the records of the school they currently work at, limited further by their role and permissions within that school.
- Students see their own records, including at schools they previously attended.
- Parents and guardians see only the children for whom the school has verified and approved their access — verification happens in person at the school the first time.
- Platform staff access is separated, restricted, and audited; government or third-party information requests are handled through a formal, accountable request process — never through self-service access to the platform.
5. How we protect it
- Every school's data is isolated in its own protected environment.
- Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes.
- One active session per person — signing in on a new device signs out the old one.
- Access and administrative actions are recorded in audit logs.
6. Retention
Educational records are, by their nature, long-lived: a certificate earned today must still be verifiable decades from now. We retain academic records for as long as the school and applicable law require, and security logs only as long as needed for their protective purpose.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask your school to review or correct information held about you or your child. Where two records are found to describe the same person, they are merged under a controlled, logged process rather than deleted — so no part of an educational history is ever silently lost.
8. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes will be communicated through the platform before they take effect.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy or about your data can be raised with your school's administration, or directly with the 10x10 Campus office through the school's registered support channel.
